        HORSEMANSHIP CLINIC: Handling & Tricks

        Two-day clinic: January 22-23, 10am-5pm
        RJ Ranch, Strathmore, Alberta
        JUST 8 SPOTS AVAILABLE!

Gord Searle travels across Canada and the US holding demonstrations and clinics designed to help horse owners like you get more out of the relationship with your animal. Gord uses the principles of natural horsemanship and 30 years of experience to teach you a deeper understanding of how horses think. Then he shows you how to use that knowledge to do more with your horse.

At Gord Searle’s 2-day Handling & Tricks clinic, you will learn how to:

        • Get more cooperation from your horse, in less time with less stress.
        • Communicate better – know when to push and when to back off.
        • Become your horse’s leader. That‘s what they need you to be.

Valuable for any horse owner but essential for anyone experiencing problems with horse behaviour, the clinic will cover basic horse control and Liberty. You’ll learn how to teach your horse to stay on your shoulder -- without a lead. You’ll learn the control necessary to send your horse away from you and then come back and stand calmly at your side.

Gord believes you can “train without pain” and develop a relationship with your horse “built on trust and respect.” He was a feature performer at the 2010 Royal Winter Fair’s Spirit of the Horse event, but now you can learn Gord’s proven techniques in a small group with your horse.

LOCATION: RJ Ranch, 11km south of Strathmore on 817, turn west on Township Road #232.

COST: $275: a non-refundable deposit is required in advance. Spectators are welcome, $15 at the door.

  • Wild Pink Yonder Charitable Society
Wild Pink Yonder 22 Horse Back Trail Ride for Breast Cancer Research
    • From Morden to Birds Hill Park
Morden, MB to Birds Hill Park, MB
      • Hello Manitoba! Welcome to the Wild Pink Yonder.
My name is Pam Glover. I live near Ste Anne, Manitoba.
In Feb. 2009 I lost my beautiful 37 year old stepdaughter to breast cancer. I was heartbroken and very, very angry. Why isn’t there a cure for this disease? Why are we still losing our young women? What can I do to honour my stepdaughter and help find a cure for breast cancer?

That summer I stumbled upon a site called Wild Pink Yonder. I read about Jane and about what she was doing and I got VERY excited! My first thought was, “We can do that here!” My second thought was, “I love riding my horse and I love horse people! If we can all get together and raise money, how much fun would that be!” So I sent off an email to Jane, honestly thinking I’d never hear a word back -- but it was worth a try. Well, I heard back! After many emails back and forth I finally got to meet Jane and her son, Rusty. They were interested in taking Wild Pink Yonder beyond Alberta and I was invited to sample what Wild Pink Yonder is all about. We worked together at The Mane Event in Red Deer and I helped ground crew on the trail in Alberta in the summer of 2009. At the end of the season, they wanted to know if I would be the “Wild Pink Yonder Trail Blazer” for Manitoba. Would I? I was thrilled to have the chance to make such a big difference in the fight against breast cancer!

So now, here we are, in the planning stages of bringing Wild Pink Yonder to Manitoba. We will begin our inaugural ride, with Jane and Rusty along, in Morden, Manitoba on Sept 9, 2011. We will end up in beautiful Birds Hill Park on Oct. 1, 2011.

With your help we can RIDE BREAST CANCER INTO THE GROUND.

Please join Jane, Rusty and me on Manitoba’s PINK TRAIL in September 2011.

        It’s going to be legendary!

        Join us!
