Palm Beach, FL --- “We are thrilled that International Polo Club Palm Beach is our presenting sponsor this year,” said Mrs. Ross. “The club hosted the Challenge in previous years and did a fabulous job. It’s great that they’ve elected to become even more involved. The club’s sponsorship is a very generous consideration for our fundraising efforts for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.”
The Challenge of the Americas presented by International Polo Club Palm Beach is the eighth consecutive edition of this spectacular evening of equestrian sport, entertainment, dining and dancing. The event is an annual fundraiser for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The 2008 Challenge raised more than $300,000 for the Foundation.
A one-of-a-kind team competition, the Challenge of the Americas presented by International Polo Club Palm Beach highlights the Olympic sports of Grand Prix Dressage showcased in musical freestyle quadrilles and Grand Prix Show Jumping presented in the exciting high jump format. At International Polo Club Palm Beach, dressage riders and show jumpers will compete on Stanford Field, the main polo field at the club. Attendees will watch the action from VIP Box Seats for Challenge Gala Table Holders and special Tier Seating for General Admission Ticket Holders. All seats have a panoramic view of Stanford Field.
The elegant Challenge Gala, a dinner/dance that follows the competition, is always sold out. With ever-increasing attendance, Mrs. Ross has continued to add more space to the gala venue and it is now one of the top events on the Wellington winter social scene circuit. More than 750 guests attended the 2008 Challenge Gala.
